Mosaic Expert Search — connector docs
Search Mosaic Research Management's expert network from inside your AI assistant: bios, work histories, and Mosaic's vetting write-ups, distilled into a shortlist of the people worth a call. It's a remote MCP connector — read-only, and available to Mosaic clients.
What you need
- A Mosaic client-portal account (register here if you don't have one).
- AI expert search enabled on your account — ask your Mosaic team to turn it on.
- An assistant that supports MCP connectors (e.g. Claude, or ChatGPT with connectors).
Connect it
https://mcp.mosaicrm.comIn Claude
- Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Paste the URL above and confirm.
- Sign in with your Mosaic client-portal email and password when prompted.
In ChatGPT
- In Settings → Connectors, add a connector using the URL above.
- Complete the Mosaic sign-in when prompted.
Authentication is OAuth 2.1 — you sign in on Mosaic's own page; your assistant never sees your password.
Staying signed in
You sign in once. Your assistant keeps the connection alive on its own — you won't be asked for your password again unless you go 30 days without using the connector, or your Mosaic access changes (for example, if your portal account or AI expert search is turned off).
What you can do
company / title filters.Example prompts
- “Find experts who've run payer contracting for oncology drugs at a top-10 US health plan.”
- “Search for former VPs of procurement at large medical-device companies.”
- “I need experts on GLP-1 commercial strategy — shortlist five and summarise why each is relevant.”
- “Who in the network has worked at Stripe on risk or underwriting?”
- “Pull the full vetting write-ups for expert
<expert_id>.”
Tip: run several searches with different phrasings and synonyms — each is cheap, and coverage improves. Use quotes for exact phrases (e.g. "revenue cycle management").
Profiles never include contact details. When you find someone you'd like to speak with, give your Mosaic team the expert's name and ID and they'll arrange the call.
